Big Funny

My giant 1 page "Living in Filth" comic is going to be in The Big Funny, an oversized ( 15" X 20" ) comics newspaper due out this august!

Opening reception is August 7, 2009 at...

Altered Esthetics Gallery
1224 Quincy St NE
Minneapolis, MN 55413

Nevada Power

cover for Las Vegas Weekly.

panic!

Illustration for Willamette Week in Portland.

All the things that are scarier than swine flu: bike accidents, spiders, bacterial infections and republican whack-job glenn beck.

Sort of crazy dimensions for an illustration, fun stuff.

comics marathon

spent the last week finishing up 7 pages of comics for 2 different anthologies, in a blur of coffee, ink and white gouache.. Doesn't help that I have an insane process where I redraw the pencil sketch for each page at least 5 times through a light table before even thinking about ink.

probably not going to post the full "living in filth" story on the blog, I want y'all to dish out the 10 bucks when I finally getting around to putting out another comic!

free comic book day

I contributed some "dirty dish" strips to this mini anthology Mutant! free at Atomic Books this weekend, available only from May 1st thru May 4th either at the store, or comes free with any website order.

I was psyched to see I'm being published alongside all these great people including my new favorite cartoonist Noah Von Sciver who draws awesome comics about working at Subway with guys that just got out of prison.
